Dedication of new addition
The Dedication of our new Addition will be this Sunday, Oct.
18. The service will begin at 10:00. Bishop Bruce Ough
of the West Ohio Conference will be preaching. At the
close of the service we will proceed outside for the
laying of the corner stone and the dedication. A
reception will be held following the service. Since we
are expecting a large crowd, please RSVP to
office@bellbrookumc.org for the service and the
reception. We will hold a Community Open House in the
afternoon from 1-2:30. We would appreciate an RSVP for
the Open House as well. Lee and Janice Dunnington are in
charge of food. If you would like to help by supplying a
fruit tray, veggie tray or some other snack items or
hors d’oeuvres please let her know at
ldunnington@woh.rr.com. We ask that you plan to
arrive a bit early. If you are able to walk a short
distance, please remember that we have parking available
in the Sugarcreek School parking lots.
Parents,
please note that on Sunday we will not have Children’s
Church. We will have a children’s bulletin available so
make sure you have some crayons in your purse or pocket.
There will be a puppet show at the Children’s Time.
After that, young ones may go to the nursery but we
think it is important for the older ones to be a part of
this important day in the life of our church. If your
child would like to write or draw something for
inclusion in the time capsule, please drop it off at the
office early on Sunday morning.

If you would like to donate to UMCOR for relief
efforts for the tsunami and earthquake victims in
Indonesia and flood victims in the Southeastern United
States, please make your donation to UMCOR and label it
tsunami/earthquake or floods. Place it in the offering
on Sunday.
Thank you so much for your donations to the hygiene
kits. They were delivered to the Festival of
Sharing on Saturday and will be sent to disaster areas
around the US and the world.
Caramels
We have
started our annual project of making caramels. We will
be cooking on Monday & Wednesdays at 10:00 & 2: 00. We
will be wrapping on Tuesday afternoon at 1: 00 and
Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM. We need help cooking and
wrapping. It’s a great chance to get to know each other
and taste some wonderful candy! There will be a sign up
sheet in the bulletin on Sunday or you can email us at
office@bellbrookumc.org.
State of Building Finance
We have
taken occupancy of the new addition and with that comes
the last batch of bills.
Understandably, the economy has adversely affected many
of us. If your personal financial situation allows, we
would appreciate if “New Building” commitments could be
fulfilled by the end of September or early October. If
the near-term isn’t viable, we would appreciate if the
commitments could be fulfilled by the original goal of
March 2010.
If you
are unsure of your pledge amount still owed, please
contact Tom Frantz at
cfrantz4@woh.rr.com.

Common Cup
Common Cup meals and
Growth group activities are at Faith Community UMC in
Xenia on Wednesdays at 5:00. Dinner is $6 per person or
$20.00 for a family of 4 or more. The food is great and
the fellowship is wonderful. Take a friend or make a
friend while you are there! Be sure to check the Common
Cup web site at
www.commoncupchurches.org for upcoming events!
Recycling Project
We can
earn some money for the church and help keep the earth a
little cleaner by recycling our computer ink or toner
cartridges at Staples. For each empty, nationally known
cartridge that we turn in with our Staples Rewards card,
we will receive $3.00 credit for the church. When you
have an empty cartridge, just bring it to the church
office and we’ll take care of it for you. We took our
first bag of cartridges in and received $60 for the
church. Thanks so much.
