Update - April
3, 2009

April 3, 2009 – Gary Burnett signs the mortgage papers
for the Bellbrook United Methodist Church new building addition (see photo).
Gary and Nadine Daugherty signed the mortgage papers as Trustees for the
church. Witnessing the event are Ken McDaniel and Laura Hines, representing
First Financial Bancorp. Also present (not in the photo) were Nadine
Daugherty and her grandson, Terry Heck, Gary Sargent, church treasurer,
Barbara McDaniel, and Max Davis. Barbara McDaniel spearheaded the effort to
select the best mortgage institution and negotiated the terms of the
mortgage with First Financial Bancorp. With the mortgage in place, Ken
McDaniel, chair of the New Building Committee, arranged for the Construction
Manager Agreement to be signed on April 6 with plans to begin construction
this month. The east entrance to the church (red doors) will be closed until
the end of construction -- beginning tomorrow, April 13. Construction is
expected to be complete by the time the leaves turn in 2009.

Update - January 2009

The city approved the placement of a sign showing our
intention to build an addition. This is an exciting continuing step in our
new building plans.
The District Superintendent has granted us permission for a Church
Conference to be held on Sunday, March 15. Exact time will be
announced later -- but this will likely follow worship. Please mark your
calendars. All members of Bellbrook UMC are encouraged to attend the
church conference. As a church, we will look at the plans, talk about the
money, and vote our decision.
The New Building Committee has worked diligently on this process. The
members of the committee believe we can break ground in April. You are
needed to support this decision. |
