This year, the “Easter Offering” is designated for the
West Ohio Conference initiative: Strength for Today... Bright Hope for
Tomorrow. The “Easter Offering” may be placed in Easter envelopes in
the pew, or as a notation on your check or regular offering envelope. Unless
designated otherwise, the offering on Holy Thursday and Easter Sunrise
services is considered “Easter Offering.”
The vision of the West Ohio Conference of the United
Methodist Church is: Every congregation is a healthy, growing, spiritually
vital, risk-taking center for making and equipping disciples of Jesus for
the purpose of transforming the world. To that end, we have made a
commitment to give our “Easter Offering” to this special initiative. Monies
received in the initiative will be used to strengthen ministry in existing
churches, establish new congregations, and to provide leadership training
for clergy leaders and lay leaders in the West Ohio Conference as we seek to
build God’s kingdom. Please contact Terry Heck for more information
regarding Strength for Today... Bright Hope for Tomorrow.
