                   30 New Ideas for family fun this summer

1. Check for cheap or free movie showings at local theaters.

2. Library story time for the younger kids.

3. Join the summer reading program at your local library.

4. Plant a small garden (This will give the kids something to take care of and look forward to!).

5. Make a fun lunch. Everyone be in charge of a part of it (ie: dessert, drinks, etc.) and take it to the park and eat and play Frisbee.

6. Take some white T-shirts and decorate them outside.

7. Have a block party with BBQ, games, and ice cream!

8. Take the “UNplug it! Challenge” by having a day without electronics

9. A Slip-N-Slide is always a favorite.

10. Take a family bike ride.

11. Make lemonade from lemons.

12. Make juicy ices (with paper cups & sticks).

13. Go to a carnival in the evening.

14. Go to the library in the morning and then sit under a tree reading in the afternoon.

15. Or on the porch or in a hammock (you get the picture).

16. Watch a fireworks display.

17. Light a sparkler (with adult supervision).

18. Have a bonfire.

19. Cook dinner on the grill (easy clean up!).

20. Go get an ice cream.

21. Make your own ice cream.

22. Visit a museum on a hot or rainy day.

24. Paint on a canvas.

25. Paint on the sidewalk or driveway with ice, water, or chalk paint.

26. Catch butterflies or fireflies and release them as the are God's creatures also.

27. Pick berries and make a pie or jam.

28. Swing on swings.

29. Have a water balloon fight.

30. Blow bubbles...lots and lots of bubbles!
