Community Thanksgiving Service

We will be joining with other churches in Bellbrook for the annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday evening, November 23, at 7:00 p.m.  The service this year will be held at St. Francis of Assisi (6245 Wilmington Pike).  In addition to the offering being collected for ministerial benevolence fund at the Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, we will collect food items for the local food pantry. Please bring pasta and pasta sauce -- those are the items most needed.  Everyone is invited to sing in the joint choir. The rehearsal is 6 pm on Sunday.

 

 

World Vision Experience: Aids
The World Vision Experience: AIDS is a 3,000 square foot interactive exhibit that invites visitors to "step into Africa" by hearing, seeing and walking through an African village to personally experience the lives of children affected by AIDS. The stirring audio tour and captivating photography will transport you into the life of an African child and give you a new perspective on the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time... AIDS. December 1-7, at Stillwater United Methodist Church, 6911 Frederick Pike, Dayton, Ohio. (Parental discretion advised for children under 13.)

 

 

Common Cup Dessert Auction

Don't miss this popular annual event.  Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. on December 3, at Faith Community United Methodist.  There will also be a silent basket auction.

 

 

 

Christmas Offering Challenge

The goal for this year's Special Christmas Officering is $12,000.  Each year church members are challenged to give to the Christmas Offering an amount equal to every Christmas gift purchased.  In the past we have supported St. Paul in East Dayton, given to emergency relief in the Sudan, and provided local relief through the Bellbrook Ministerial Association.  Click here to see the worthy organizations we are supporting this year.

 

Order Christmas Poinsettias Now

If you would like to purchase a poinsettia for the sanctuary be sure to fill out the form in the bulletin and place it along with $10.00 (cash or check) per plant in the offering plate. Check should be made out to Bellbrook UMC and designated for flowers or placed in a flower offering envelope; cash should be placed in a flower offering envelope.

Mark your calendar now! Sunday, December 21, 10:00 a.m. Christmas in the Woods, drama and musical event, will be presented by the children, youth, and adults of Bellbrook United Methodist Church. Invite friends, relatives, acquaintances, and strangers off the street.
