Kingdom Arts!

VBS Wrap-up From Mary Frantz

The Kingdom Arts camp was a jolly good success.  WE had 51 children come to camp during the 3 evenings.  They were lively and looking for a good. They heard about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and their belief that they could only WORSHIP their God who would protect them.  We also heard about Noah and how he was OBEDIENT to God when he told him to build the ark. Lastly Daniel had COURAGE that his God would save him from the lions when he was thrown into their den.

Our mission project was the Little Miami River watershed.  The children had a science lesson about the watershed each evening. They brought in donations and collected $174. The lessons were presented by Hope Taft and Bill Schieman. After Sunday we had an additional $74 collected so we have enough money to purchase 62.5 medallions for the drain covers.

I want to thank all the volunteers who made the camp possible.  Nancy Pestian, Susan Lux, Kristy Kinsel, Cheryl and Brad Kenney, Dave Cope,  Karen, James, Adam , Matt and Emma Jenkins, Sally Harper, Harrison Shupe, Jacob Smith, Miranda and Rebecca Tomb, Carrie Frantz, Kris Gainey, Minji Bao, Tom Frantz, Kathy deGruchey, Bruce Clough, Duncan Clough, Lance Weston, Caroline Cope, Jordan Frantz, Tina Michel, Tina and Eric Weston, Alyssa Pestian, Bridgett Clough, Ashley Frantz, Alice Clough, Becky Cope, Helen Reno, Cathy and Richard Preibisch, Lisa Ellison, Hope Taft, Bill Schieman, Cassidy Manley and Danny Mendez.  I would also like to thank the Beavercreek Community Theater for loaning us the costumes.

Stay tuned. I’m already thinking of ideas for next year!
